The SINGER 8770 Curvy 225 Sewing Machine has a SwiftSmart threading system with automatic needle threader which saves its user time and energy. A drop & sew bobbin system provides automatic thread pick-up for faster threading and an automatic stitch length and width help to provide the right stitch settings regularly. With 225 built-in stitches (with six fully automatic one-step buttonholes) this machine offers endless possibilities for its users. Block and script alphabet stitches allow the user the capability to personalize projects with a monogram.

The first review was posted in January of 2010 and is a 5 star review with the reviewer stating that they love the 8770 even though it’s a bit more complicated than machines they’ve had in the past. They were impressed with its many features and many decorative stitches and said they had no problems with the machine so long as they read the instruction manual.

A 3 star review left in July of 2010 stated that though the machine is sturdy and most adjustments are easy with this machine, they felt that SINGER cut corners with its functionability.

The most current review was posted in January of 2011 and was a four star review. Reviewer stated that overall they really liked their machine but had a few issues with it. Reviewer reported that it’s difficult to sew a straight line (and wasn’t the only one to make such comments) and mentioned that the foot pedal design was flawed severely. Reviewer retured the machine after purchase.
