The first review was posted in June of 2008 and is a 5 star review. Reviewer stated that the SINGER 7470 was a great machine for the price and that the machine will produce nice stitches. Reviewer suggests this machine for both experienced and novice sewists.

In December of 2010, a 1 star review was posted, Reviewer stated that though they loved the buttonhole features, the machine constantly jammed the fabric and thread together in a big mess, usually ruining their fabric.

The most current review is an updated review posted originally in February of 2009, but updated in May of 2011. The reviewer stated originally that they were pleased with the machine, especially with the price for the functions it provided. The updated review however stated that though it continues to work well, it required a tune up and now that they had a more seasoned perspective they were somewhat disappointed with the machine. The lighting, they claimed, was poor. The automatic needle threader is a fragile mechanism and needs to be handled with care.
