The first review was posted in October of 2008 and was a 4 star review. Reviewer stated that they were truly a novice who wanted to learn to sew and thismachine came with a DVD to explain how to thread it. Thanks to that, they found it very easy to thread, wind the bobbin, and but the bobbin in. Reviewer also stated that they had no complaints about the quality of the machine but the automatic threader is a “joke” and the larger tray takes up a lot of room for those looking for a machine to fit in a confined smaller space.

One of the 1 star reviews was left in January of 2011. Reviewer stated that after reading reviews for this machine they opted to purchase one for themselves. After one week, the machine started squeaking loudly. Three weeks later, the foot pedal stopped working in the middle of a project. After several failed attempts at contacting SINGER for assistance, reviewer returned the machine to the seller.

The most current review was posted in July of 2011. This was a 5 star review and reviewer stated that they were very pleased with their machine. An experienced sewist (20+ years), the reviewer was able to try almost every function in under two hours and not only understood but mastered them all. Reviewer stated that directions were very clear and the quality was great.
