The first review was posted in January of 2009. This was a 5 star review, and the reviewer stated that though they were a beginner to the world of sewing they felt that this machine was perfect for their skill level. Finding it both intuitive to operate and also the illustrations on the machine prevented them from having to take out the manual constantly making this a functional learning tool as well.

In October of 2009, one reviewer gave the Juki HZL-35Z four stars. Though the reviewer stated that they were mostly overall satisfied, they found the automatic bobbin winder to be troublesome and not as stress free as they had hoped. They also commented on how loud the machine was when operating and stated that this isn’t the machine to use around others if noise is a factor.

The most current review was posted in September of 2011. The reviewer gave the machine five stars and stated that it was a beginner’s delight. Being a self-taught sewist, they felt that this machine was incredibly durable, easy to use, and smoothly quiet.
